286755 - Allow blocking embedded plugins (such as flash ads) from making sounds

It's an extreme annoyance that flash plugins can make noises. It would be nice
if there was a preference to block sounds on a page that come from plugins.

My suggestion is:
1) Preference (Default: on) about whether embedded plugins can make sound
2) Some key or click combination (such as right click and choosing "enable
embedded sounds" to toggle the setting for a particular session
3) When loading a swf, etc, then this setting would have no affect. It'd only
affect plugins embedded in a web page

An example would be if you had the settin set to off, you would have the sounds
blocked on flash ads at the top of some web site. If you wanted to hear the
sound on a flash file, such as if you went to a flash site that embeds the
movies in a page, you could right click on the page and choose "enable embedded
sounds"

There is no way for the browser to stop the flash plugin to play sounds.
You can only block flash itself and there are extensions for that (flashblock,
adblock)

So for pages such as http://www.espressotamper.com, the only solution stock
Firefox offers users is to suffer it?

As it is, the Flash plug-in is a piece of tortureware that for some reason has
Mozilla's blessing. How about talking with Macromedia/Adobe and explaining to
them that they should fix their plug-in so that the browser can mute it if needed?
