Clicking in the gutter and holding down the mouse button to scroll causes
Firefox to scroll too far.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Load a really long page (the page in this report is just the one I happened to
   notice this bug on).
2. Place the mouse pointer over a point in the gutter that is far below the scroll
   thumb.
3. Press and hold the left mouse button.

RESULT
The page scrolls and the scroll thumb passes the mouse pointer.

EXPECTED
The scroll thumb should stop with the mouse pointer over it. It should not go
past the pointer.

Does this happen every time you try to scroll? I'll download todays's update and
try it. Could you provide some more examples if possible?
It happens on every page with no matter where it is. It doesn't matter if it's
text/plain, text/html, or dynamic. No examples needed. Go to any page that is
long enough (4 or more screens long or so).

Download the most recent nightly (http://www.mozilla.org/developer) and report back your findings.

Can you please update to a recent version, create a fresh profile (see http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles for more information), and test this again? If you still see this problem, please add a comment to this report and tell us your version and your operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Linux). If the problem does not happen anymore, please set the status of this report to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME. Also, the URL example does not work anymore nowadays. This needs a testcase. Thanks for your help!
Unfortunately closing this report as no further information has been provided.

Please feel free to reopen this report if you can provide the information asked for and if this still happens in a recent and supported version. Thanks!
