Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050321 Firefox/1.0.2 When Pressing CTRL-F to find a word on a frame-webpage the focus is on the (probably) first frame. Clicking in another frame doesn't change the focus to this new frame. So it's not possible to search i.e. in the content frame but only in the menu frame. We could reproduce this problem on different machines. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open a webpage with frames in it 2. hit CTRL-F and search for some letters. It will find them in one of the frames 3. Click in the other frame and search again. It will find them still in the first frame Expected Results: The search focus should be set in the corresponding frame when clicking it.
This seems to be WFM with 1.0.2 - search starts in frame 1, then goes through others sequentially. Bug 156514 indicates behaviour is to search ALL frames by default. Could you give an example URL. I tried the one in bug 156514, i.e.: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/index.html
Sorry - I have to correct myself. This problem is NOT reproducable every time. Obviously this happens only sometimes. We couldn't find out which causes this malfunction. It does NOT depend on the page it self. It happens on the same page with the same content sometimes and sometimes not.
