Details
DNs in LDIF files should be base64-encoded, if they contain nonprintable characters. The Java utility program LDAPSearch encodes nonprintable attribute values, but not DNs.
The fix has been checked in 05-06-00. Checking in ldapjdk/netscape/ldap/util/LDIFWriter.java; /cvsroot/mozilla/directory/java-sdk/ldapjdk/netscape/ldap/util/LDIFWriter.java,v <-- LDIFWriter.java new revision: 1.2; previous revision: 1.1
