Starting profile manager with the command line flag is not very straightfoward
for a significant part of the user base. Also the problems encountered with
firefox not being completly closed causes further confusion.

An easy solution would be to add a menu option to restart firefox at the profile
manager. Selecting this option informs the user that firefox must be restarted,
it then closes all running instances of firefox (including chatzilla running on
firefox etc..) and restarts firefox with the apropirate folag to open the
profile manager.Starting profile manager with the command line flag is not very

If this is UI bloat then an alternative is to add a third shortcut on the
windows start menu program group to start the profile manager. However this will
have the same problem as the safe mode shortcut in that it won’t open if Firefox
is already running.
Given other bugs about making the profile manager harder to get at and simular
requests that have been wontfixed resolving Invalid.
