User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; it-IT; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; it-IT; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 New tab waits for Download Manager to finish the job. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open http://www.screamforme.com/ (I did it on 2005-06-01 (yyyy-mm-dd) I hope that the page won't change)) there are two links at the top of the page that let you download some video files. 2.Right click the first link on Mpeg (http://www.screamforme.com/vid/BruceAdvert.mpg) and save as... 3.Right click the second link on Quicktime High (http://www.screamforme.com/tos/abduction_hi.mov) and save as... 4.Open the album cover link (http://www.screamforme.com/tos.htm), on the left, in a new tab to see the bigger picture. Actual Results: If New tab page isn't in the cache, New tab waits for Download Manager to finish the job. Expected Results: New tab should open the page immediately.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050602 Firefox/1.0.4 can't find anything to dupe this to in the download manager component, and yeah it takes ages to even get to right click the second download (as it's waiting for the first one to start). i've been noticing this for a while on fx aviary nightlies and trunk nightlies (well, hourlies now). i don't want to confirm until i'm sure it's not a dupe

This seems to be due to the pref network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server being set to 2. Changing it to 3 alleviates the problem and adding another concurrent download causes it to reoccur. (In reply to comment #1) > it takes ages to even get to right click the second download (as it's waiting > for the first one to start). i've been noticing this for a while on fx aviary > nightlies and trunk nightlies (well, hourlies now). This was not the case for me. Could it be due to bug 240525?

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. this is quite the issue actually. There are times I will have 2-3 tabs open and something downloading will lock my PC until the page loads then 'poof' everything is normal again. This is with 1G of RAM and AMD3000
