User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; U) Opera 7.53 [en] Build Identifier: when i started the Search Messages dialog, the top big box with the Subject/ contains fields was hidden (the line under the box was raised). I couldn't figure out how to use it, for weeks! even an upgrade from 1.0 to 1.0.2 did not fix problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open Edit->Find->Search Messages 2. observe default controls position Actual Results: i failed to see the Subject/Contains fields. Expected Results: default settings should ensure all controls are visible, regardless of initial dialog size. please make the default controls visible.
maximize the dialog, then .. move the bar ('sash') up close so the top box (criteria section) is about 50 pixels, and the bottom (preview section) is like 600. then hit the window restore button, so the dialog goes back to windowed mode (non fullscreen). and those 50 pixels are gone. (the criteria section is fully collapsed, and can only be expanded by grabbing the "sash") then when you resize the window, the 50 pixels never return, leaving the Criteria section hidden.

Confirmed on w32 using 1.0.2 and 1.0+ Alpha 1 To reproduce: - Edit > Find > Search Messages ... - maximize window - move sash between search criteria & search results upwards, leaving enough space for maybe 1 or 2 search criteria - restore window Actual Results: - window areas are not resized proportionally, and sash is locked such that no space is showing for search criteria - expanding window (using window expansion control in lower-right) makes the window bigger, but doesn't expand the sash Expected: - window should have resized with the amount of space above/below the sash being resized proportionally I'm not sure if this is a this-dialog-only thing, or if it's a wider issue with the way sashed dialogs "restore" using XUL.

I can't see anything like that in recent Thunderbird. Can anybody still reproduce?
