As I understand a new feature in MS Office 2003 is a way to make it possible to
create forms that can be 'downloaded' to the client that can be filled in when
in off-line mode and then at a later time, when the connection is restored, will
be uploaded back to the server.

Thinking about that I realized that there might be a possibility to do this with
regular forms on the web giving a interesting edge to the whole concept of forms.

This feature can work a bit like the off-line feature of thunderbird; store the
unsent form somewhere (preferably browsable), and ask for conformation when
firefox detects an active connection.

The first obvious problem is the fact that there is no session, and that the
session id will obviously change. The off-line formfiller should probably get a
new session id before it is allowed to send the form, probably needing a login
(which should be asked again).

Chances are that there must be done something on the server to accommodate a
good way to do this. (special off-line properties that the server must send, so
firefox or the server can act differently if necessary)

The main aim is to give Firefox an extra edge to make it interesting for
business usage, a second aim is to put more emphasis on what open standards can
achieve.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a form
2. Select the new 'store for offline use' option
3. Fill in one or more forms when in offline mode
4. When the user is connected again, upload (replay) the forms to the server.

This is more of a request for a discussion, i hope more people are interested in
a feature like this.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
