Build Identifier: Mac OS X.4.1 Thunderbird version 1.0.2 (20050317)

When several unread messages are downloaded to the inbox, the dock icon displays
the number of unread mails in a small green bubble.
As soon an one of the mails is opened, the green bubble disappears from the icon
instantly. It would be nice if it just decremented by one each time one of the
mails was read, only disappearing once all have been read (e.g. Mail does this).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download more than one mail to your inbox.
2. Click on any of them.
3. Watch as the green bubble disappears instantly.

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
