User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

Trying to open a file on my computer causes an alert and the file doesn't open.
The error is envolved with an accent on the file directory name, I supose.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.   Open Firefox;
2. Configure him to open new pages on new tabs:
2.1. Go to: Tools > Options > Advanced > Tabbed Browsing > Open links form
another locations in:
2.2. Check "A new tab in the most recent window";
3.   Create any valid html file or save any site in a folder;
4.   At this folder, put an accent in his name (like "ó");
5. DoubleClick this file inside it.

Actual Results:
An alert message appears;
File doesn't open (not found).

Expected Results:
Open the file.

Here the Firefox is configured to open new pages in another tab at the last
active window. When he is already opened, rying to open a file on my computer,
occurs an error:

"Alert:

The file /c:Documents and
Settings/Windows/Desktop/Academico/Multim%EDdia/Paginas/index.htm cannot be
found. Please check the location and tru again."

The problem I supose is the use of words with accents, like "é", "ó", very
commum in Portuguese (my native language).

When I remove the accent from the folder called "Multimídia", shown as
"Multi%EDdia", the problem doesn't occurs. Another way to avoid this happening
is to use the menu: File > Open File...
