Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a window with an <editor> and focus the edit area (Thunderbird Compose)
2. Press 'a' until the line is long enough for a scrollbar to appear
3. Press Enter
4. Press Up
5. Press Enter
6. Press Up
7. Press Left
8. Press Delete
9. Press Left
10. Paste anything which contains a newline

Actual Results:  
After step 2, the left edge was only visible at step 4 and 9


Expected Results:  
After step 2, the left edge should have stayed visible


This happens also with a plain <editor src="about:blank" flex="1"/> activated
through a .makeEditable("html",false);
Reproducible with Mozilla 1.7.10, Mozilla 1.8b1 and SeaMonkey/20050816 Composer,
related to Suite bug 271681?
