307439 - Password field and keyboard issue

In the attached test case, click on the first field (password). Type a few 
characters (ex: abc). Click in the second field. Hit Shift+Tab to go back to 
the first field (or hit Tab several times until the focus is again on the 
first field). The entire text is selected. Use the right arrow key. The caret 
is now at the end of the field. Type a few more characters (ex: def).

Hit the test button. It will display the content of the password field: defabc 
in my example, while it should be abcdef.

Reproducible: Always




This only appears to be the case for password fields. Text fields work fine.

Reproducible with Mozilla 1.7.10 but WFM with Mozilla 1.8b1 and Deer Park a2.

The build this bug is reported against is too old.  Please recheck using a
recent nightly build[1,2] to verify that the behavior still exists and post the
results here.
