Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050911 Firefox/1.6a1 Set your preferences on Privacy for cookie to 'Ask me every time'. Remove all cookies that were set. Close the browser. Start again. Open any webpage. Now the alert saying that 'www.spreadfirefox.com' is trying to set a cookie appears. I am opening Yahoo, Google and from where does this 'spreadfirefox' come?

No cookie setting in a blank profile. Do you have a live bookmark of the spreadfirefox feed perhaps? Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050911 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005091107

Yes, I've spreadfirefox as one of the live bookmarks. Also it is like a 'timed'. Popping up in intervals.

When firefox requests the feed from spreadfirefox, spreadfirefox sends a cookie along with it. This is expected behaviour.
