We're slowly getting more and more bugs that are dependent on dropping support
for 10.2. This bug is to track them.
This is for 1.1.

Closing. 10.2 support is gone, so there's no value in tracking this anymore. We'll call it FIXED since we did indeed drop 10.2 support.

I support reopening this bug, since there are lots of things in the codebase that still need to change given our move to 10.3, but that got vetoed, so removing open deps to make this bug really "done".
