Make it harder to quit the updater process.

On OSX at least, it is trivial to Quit the updater process from the menu in the dock.  This seems bad.  We should find a way to remove the menu item or at least intercept the Quit request to prevent the updater process from being closed prematurely.  We should also verify that other platforms do not have this problem.

Bryner suggested that we might even want to explore implementing a signal handler to try to do a last ditch cleanup if we do get killed.
