steps:
1. bookmarks>show all bookmarks
2. search for 'apple' (if you don't have an interesting set of bookmarks, might i suggest mine?)
3. if you have lots of results, it'd be nice if the number of found items would be listed somewhere.

Apple's finder Search Results window sticks "766 items" just under the window title.
