Installed Firefix 1.5 rc3 yesterday. Using MS Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A, all web pages now scroll instead of zooming when the keyboard zoom control is used. The zoom control worked perfectly in Firefox 1.0. Using the Firefox built-in keyboard zoom control (Ctrl/mouse wheel) still works.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. With this (or any MS Wireless w/zoom slider?) keyboard in use, open any web page.
2. Use the zoom jog control to zoom in or out.
3. 

Actual Results:  
The page will scroll instead of zoom.

Expected Results:  
Zoom control should zoom, not scroll.

I find it's even worse than this: the slider both scrolls the page and zooms the text. The zooming is not consistent - it looks like it starts scrolling, but then if I hold the slider, in some steps it actually zooms. Interestingly, sometimes the zoom is the reverse of what the slider says, increasing the text size when it should be decreasing, and vice versa.

Using Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard 1.0A with Intellitype driver version 5.1.2600.1106.

Yes, no change at all in Firefox 2. Also, MS tilt wheel mouse does not scroll the page right/left as it should, but rather inserts cursor and moves it right/left. Hard to believe no one has picked this up since it was reported. Both hardware features work as they should in most other apps, including MSIE.

What Intellipoint mouse drivers are you using? The tilt wheel scrolls the page for me fine with my IntelliMouse Explorer 4.

Do you still see this problem using Firefox 3.5?  Please update the bug, and close/alter bug if appropriate.

No reply, INCO. Please reopen if you are seeing this in Firefox 3.5.2 or later in Firefox safe mode and a new profile with the latest plugins.
