bug 307948 changed the way ical parameters, expecially text values, should be stored and accessed. Not all of the old consumers of .stringValue were updated however. LXR tells me there are some in calAttendee.js and in calendarUtils.js. The calendarUtils.js calls are responsible for the reappearance of bug 311983. This would be another [good first bug].
