For date-based history queries that are limited to one day (like the common "Today's History" link or when selecting a single day on the calendar), only the time should be shown.
Priority: -- → P3
This removes the option on the interface and automatically picks whether to display the date. If the time is today, only the time will be displayed, for other times, the date will also be displayed.

There is also some commented out code that generates strings such as "23 minutes ago" which looks nice but requires that we refresh the screen periodically, and it looks weird when it updates. We can discuss later whether to enable this feature or not.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
