Filed as requested by Sam. Let the discussion of how to improve Page Info commence.
Requesting blocking for 1.0, as this is one of our major new features from b1.

Here you have what I think it should look like.

What about the lock icons? Is everyone happy with the grey text?

I don't like the grey text at all. And from what I remember, Jasper was going to create some new icons for each section.
Jasper's is "cleaner" looking, but it also doesn't contain as much content as the current panel (at least looking at bugzilla).
Simon, as I said on IRC We do not have to do the Grey text. Just use black text with : at the end.

As for the icons. I will ensure you get all the appropriate icons before we release b2. If I can, otherwise it will be before 1.0f.
I checked in a tweaked version of the Page Info nib. Let me know if it's beautiful enough.

Small glitch: if it's a HTTPS URL and you click on View Certificate, the window with the certificate stays behind the Page Info window even when selected. (12-10 official branch build).

Yeah, the Page Info is a floating window, but the certificate window is not, so it's expected, even if it's not the best user experience.

The connection "text" (adjacent to the lock) is a little odd when viewing a mixed-mode page. For a completely secure page, it lists the encryption stats, and for a normal (http) page, it says "Connection not encrypted".

On a mixed-mode page, you get "Web site identity not verified" (the same as in site security", which doesn't sync--especially since the Site Security text says "Web site identity verified". (The "explanation" text for the Connection, below the lock, is fine). Perhaps "Connection partly encrypted" or something?

This also highlights the misuse of the open lock in this panel; in the location bar, the open lock is used only for mixed-mode pages, but the Page Info dialogue uses it for Site Security and Connection on http pages *and* for the Connection section on a mixed-mode page. For normal http pages, the Page Info panel should sync with the location bar and not display any lock at all.

The wording for the connection was a bug. It should say "Connection Partially Encrypted". Fixed.
Pushing off.

Following discussion with Jasper on IRC closing this bug, as the page info page no looks like the mockup on this bug. Jasper will file a follow up with new icons when they're ready.
