After I switch to a tab that has loaded the provided URL, I lose the ability to change tabs by clicking on them. I can still ctrl-tab, ctrl-shift-tab, and ctrl-1/2/3/etc. And I can create new tabs, and close them with ctrl-W. And drag them around! Just can't click them.

It doesn't happen every time, and I can eventually remedy the problem by opening new windows and tabs, and closing them. After a while I will get a bunch of tab changes and sometimes window-raises, which don't _seem_ to be related to the tabs I tried to select when it was busted.

My console gets

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIDOMXULElement.boxObject]"  nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)"  location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml :: get_docShell :: line 0"  data: no]

a fair bit, but not once per attempted tab select, nor once per breakage of tab-switching.

I don't really even know where to begin, I confess.
I've seen this same problem a few times, always on Windows.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051218 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005121805

I don't see it on the URL provided but I saw it here: Bug 319773 (java involved) but maybe there are related some way and this bug has a regression date.

same problem :(...it's a major problem...if won't be corrected soon, please put 1.5 on the main page (mozilla.com)
1.5 is on the main page (now 1.5.0.1).
if you still see this problem in version 3.x, please comment.
if you do not still see the problem, please close as WORKFORME (or some other appropriate resolution)
