If certain .dcr files are opened directly from the location bar, Firefox crashes. These do not cause crashes when they are contained within a page: in the case of the example given, it does not cause a crash when I view the same movie in the page http://shockwave.com/contentPlay/shockwave.jsp?id=joust&preplay=1 . I am using the Macromedia Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 10.1

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open http://www.shockwave.com/content/joust/joust_splash.dcr from the location bar
Actual Results:  
Firefox crashes.

Expected Results:  
Played the movie.

http://www.shockwave.com/content/joust/joust_splash.dcr seems to no longer exist.  Thinking we should close this bug unless someone can come up with a test case.

There are about 130 'Stack Signature ArcadeEmulator2.x32' crash reports in the talkback database.  It might be possible to dig out a test case from there although none of the current stack signatures are an exact match for the stack in comment 1.

Based on #4 and #5, we haven't had a usable example to reproduce this since at least 4/2006. Please feel free to reopen if you can find one, otherwise...

we still get a handful of these crashes.  maybe someone can try and get ArcadeEmumlator set up and try these game sites.

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/

If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
