I just want to use my navigation text as normal. To be able to type in a topic and it goes to the topic. I do not even want to be associated with yahoo advaced search.

I am runnig XP home with sp 2.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.From turning on my computer i doubble click my firefx icon.
2.Next I go to the navigation bar and type a topic.
3.then the topic is redirected to
http://search.yahoo.com/search/options and nothing else happens i am looking at this page.
Actual Results:
I am taken to this page:::http://search.yahoo.com/search/options

Expected Results:
The expected results are to be taken to a place so I can find my topic i n4eed.
This is most likely related to an install of Yahoo IM modifying Firefox settings, rather than being a Mozilla/Firefox-specific bug.

The preference in question is the keyword search-related "keyword.URL". The default (and thereby a "correct") setting is: http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=

Instructions on how to edit preferences can be found here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_configuration

Aw crud. Should probably be resolved as INVALID.
It's not firefox's bug and can not be reproduced.
So, close it as INVALID.
