I'm unable to delete any mail in my trash folder. Using IMAP.
hendrik, what do you mean? do you mean "if I select a message in my trash
folder and click delete, nothing happens"? If your pref is set to "delete =
move to trash" this is not surprising. Or do you mean "File | Empty Trash on
IMAP isn't working"? Over to Jeff.

Summary: Unable to delete mail in trash folder → Unable to delete mail in IMAP trash folder
My pref is set to: "delete = move to trash"

So when I delete from trash the mail so go away from trash (delete permanently)
You're right, 4x behavior is to remove a message permanently from the Trash
folder if it's deleted.

It is fixed for mails but not for folders. Folders should also be deleted
permanently if you delete them in trash.
Hmmm.. deleting a IMAP folder from trash, do permanently delete the folder.
It did delete the folders from the Trash folder...
Messages should be fine too.
