User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-AT; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051219 SeaMonkey/1.0b Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-AT; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051219 SeaMonkey/1.0b the correct-as-you-type email feature is nice. I use German Seamonkey Mail. When I switch the language in between it does not recheck the email to remove the red underlines, I have to run through the email (fastet with Ctrl+CursorRight). I would also love the possibility to switch the language right in a drop-down box beside the large button (like the security button with dropdown next to it). Another suggestion (stolen from M$ office) automatically switch between avail languages based upon the "lowest number of errors" statistic after about 20+ words, but that is probably far-future. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start an German email with correction languase English. 2. Switch correction language to german) and close the bos) 3. Still a lot of correct German words have red underlines. Expected Results: Red underlines should disappear for correct words after language switch.

correcting component (composer is not for mail, it is about making web pages) please set the version of mozilla on which you see this problem and make additional helpful comments to clarify the problem since you last reported.

In reply to #1: The bug 315784 is the corrosponding thunderbird bug. And thank you for giving me the dual-language Thunderbird bugzilla entry. In reply to #2: I would love to select "Seamonkey suite version xxx", but it is not avail. To which Mozilla does Seamonkey 1.06 belong to? I think it is: 1.8(.0.8) according to http://www.jak-software.org This problem is still in Seamonkey 1.06 German. Start typing the email, noticing that too many correct words are marked bad due to the wrong language selected (in my case German instead of English or vice versa) in the spell correction. Switch language. But the text you typed is still marked as wrong. Either you go through the whole email by cursor left/right, or by ctrl+cursor left/right so Seamonkey rechecks those words again and leave only the real typos marked.

Not reproducable any more. This bug is gone for quite a while, I cannot remember in which Seamonkey 1.1.x version fixed it, but I know that is must have been fixed quite a while ago. Fixed also: Spell checker within webforms. Change language, and it rechecks the words, which is done without problems.
