User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060131 Firefox/1.6a1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060131 Firefox/1.6a1 This issue has been reproducible with a small Java Applet with all Firefox versions. It is NOT reproducible with Mozilla 1.6. It was introduced in Mozilla 1.7 and was later on fixed in Mozilla 1.7.12. I was not able to identify the mozilla bug although there are some issues that look simmilar such as 233210, 318675. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Install the Java plugin 1.4.2 and activate the Java Console. Attached is a Java Applet. This needs to be installed on a web server. Once installed it can be loaded by http://webserver/..../demo.htm The Applet will be loaded and the Java console will be opened. Ignore the exceptions in the console if any. Position the browser and the Java console as shown in FocusScreenshot1.png Now hit the "OpenWindow" Button in the Applet. The result should be like in FocusScreenshot2.png. The popup JFrame should be on top and the JTextfiled should have the focus. The "OpenWindow" button should be partly visible. Click again on the partly visible "OpenWindows" button. After two or three clicks you should get the bug shown in FocusScreenshot3.png. The JFrame Popup is NOT on top and the JTextFiled does not have the focus. Actual Results: The JFrame Window is not on Top and the JTextField does not have the focus. Expected Results: The JFrame Window should bet on Top and the JTextField should have the focus. Again, I think this is a regression that was introduced in Mozilla 1.7 which was fixed in Mozilla 1.7.12. Iwas inherited by Firefox and needs to be fixed for Firefox. Thanks. Thomas Viessmann
