Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060205 SeaMonkey/1.5a
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060205 SeaMonkey/1.5a

I have the Google tool bar installed with this Seamonkey. However, I can not use the Apple built-in Hanin Input method to fill in Chinese text. However, the OpenVenilla (v0.72 beta) will work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change to Hanin Input method
2. Input Chinese to the Search field
3. Get the input code instead of the target Chinese character

Actual Results:
(Somehow, it won't allow the system Hanin input to process the input keystrokes.

Expected Results:
Hanin input codes shall provide the target Chinese character.

Please Fix it as soon as possible.

Is this occured only on google toolbar's editor?
On other editor(e.g., on web page, on other toolbar), it works fine, I cannot assume this is our bug.
This also happen to other fill-in field, such as Yam's search field.
Can you type Chinese characters *right* here with Hanin input method? It'd help us if you can give us a sequence of keystrokes (in US-English QWERTY keyboard) to input a couple of Chinese characters along with those characters. When posting Chinese characters here, pls, make sure to set view | character encoding to UTF-8.
With mode, Zhuin and display set to 'general','Roman' and 'Roman characters' respectively, I typed 'fei1ji1' to get 飛機. So at least, that mode works for me (TB 1.5.1 on Mac OS 10.4.4)

On my machine using Firefox/Camino/Seamonkey the characters DO get entered into the fill-in field, but they are not displayed. That is, if I type 飛機 into zidian.cn.yahoo.com, I will get the definition of the word, but I never saw the words on the screen.
