set the sniff up on the page above for #1.  I don't know if dbaron was able to get to it.

We'll get this in tomorrow - we are in a service window now and won't be able to get this in until then.  Let me know if this is an issue.

Both are done, although (2) may take a little time to propagate.

Seeing this filed as a server ops bug scares me, because the sysadmins might actually fix it by changing the server config, which is the wrong way to do it.  It should be in cvs, but we've had such things done in the server config in the past.
