331524 - New Folder doesn't always appear, sometimes won't delete afterwards

New Folder doesn't appear.  So I create a new one with the same name.  Now it appears in the right pane.  I then tried to delete it and got a Assertion Failed dialog, which says:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new folder that doesn't appear anywhere (neither left nor right pane)
2.Recreate new folder with same name, now it appears.
3.Try to delete the new folder, and get an Assertion Failed Dialog.
4.Although, new folder is now gone.

Actual Results:  
New Folder disappeared eventually, although it was messy.

Expected Results:  
New Folder appears on cue.

It isn't every time, that a New Folder won't appear on either left or right pane, but when it does happen the steps that follow are reproducible always.

Well, I seem to have broken through some barriers.  I tried the above with the folder 'Dracula' and I went through the final deletion of the folder Dracula.  Now I'm going back and creating the Dracula folder again.  This time it lets me create as many Dracula folders as I want.  I've got 7 Dracula folders right now in the Bookmarks Menu.  Seems excessive, eh? :)

I believe this to be fixed now, thanks to 323812, but please reopen if that's not the case.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
