Details

I am running mozilla M14 (yellowdog build) on linuxppc2000 on a beige G3
powermac, 300MHz, with 96 MB of RAM.
The browser won't respond to a cursor in a text window, such as the URL window
of the browser itself, and also the text field in the profiles dialog.

When the mouse is clicked in a text field, a "Mouse down" message appears in the
xterm used to start mozilla, but there is no response in the text window.

Consequently, a URL can't be entered by hand.
you'd be better off with the other build of PPC mozilla on linuxppc 2000, I
think. The big difference is which libstdc++ it was linked with, and linuxppc
2000 has the same newer one as debian. linuxppc 1999 and yellowdog are older.
please try the other build and see if it helps. I built and use the other ppc
build and have never seen this problem.

If you're interested, I also periodically post nightlies to
http://southpole.penguinpowered.com/ The one there is currently rather dated,
but the one I've been made today is quite solid so I'm going to upload it tonight.
I just realized that the filenames were never changes as I requested them to be
(rather than -ppc- and -powerpc- they should be -2.8.0- and -2.10.0- to reflect
that the major difference between them is whether they are linked with
libstdc++2.8.0 or libstdc++2.10.0.

the one I made (the one build against the more recent libraries) is
mozilla-ppc-unknown-linux-gnu-M14.tar.gz
