User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060322 Firefox/1.5.0.1

It seams that the X cursor has locked in the level of where the menu is. The mouse can still move and everything within the desktop works properly but you cannot seam to click anything or use the keyboard in any way. Its locked within that menu and you cannot click on the menu because it no longer exists as the page has changed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a webpage with a flash plugin
2. Click on a link and quickly right click on the flash plugin
3. Watch helplessly as you are now entrapped.

Actual Results:
The webpage loads correctly yet the drop down flash menu stays there. Everything will work as normal except now you can click stuff or use your keyboard. Also the menu cannot be clicked. You have to restart X to make the mouse/keyboard work again.

Expected Results:
Insted the menu should close down before loading the next page.

im using Gentoo Linux with KDE 3.4.3, X Windows System Version 6.8.2.
Which version of Flash are you using? Can you reproduce this with the latest Mozilla build of Firefox (1.5.0.2)? Can you reproduce this in safe mode? (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode)
Flash 7 i think

and yes to all of the above, sorry i tock so long to reply

its very easy to reproduce if you want to yourself,
just go to a webpage with flash on it, then click a link and before the new page loads right click on the flash video, you will then be brought to the new page still haning on that right click in the previous page

Do you still see this problem with current version of browser AND flash player?
Please comment in the bug with your version and status.

* http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ shows your currently installed version.
* latest test version http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer9.html
* current mass release for linux 9,0,48,0 http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Using flash Version 9,0,48,0 it can still be reporduced 100% successful each time.

i tested it on epiphany and firefox. You have to alt+ctrl+f1 into a console and kill the browser for X to accept any input from the keyboard or any click on the mouse.

I submitted a similar, but functionally different, report recently.

In Ubuntu, the latest Firefox browser crashes when you right-click on any flash video. Makes me wonder if it's a flash problem, rather than firefox.

Flash is no longer supported
