1.load this picture

3.end firefox with task manager
4.start firefox again
5.firefox crash window pop up

Actual Results:

It does not crash or hang. It just loads here.

It does not crash for me. The picture is large (3048 x 9280), and as such takes a while to load and possibly makes intensive use of the windows disk-cache unless you do not have enough memory.

I think this bug is a duplicate of Bug 332468. I can't resolve it as duplicate, so perhaps someone with the rights to resolve can do this?
Andreas: I think both this bug and bug 332468 are duplicates of a much older bug. I can mark them as such if you find it.

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME
