Using a trunk build of Firefox on Linux w/ thebes enabled, I notice that some web pages render with chunky fonts but most appear to be fine. The problem is really apparent on about:cache. I'm running Ubuntu 5.04 w/ the default Gnome desktop.

I'll attach a screenshot.

probably this bug means like this screen shot ?

if it so, it reproduces cairo-gtk2 build on Ubuntu Dappper 6.06 Beta.
and
* it happens randomly.
* when a key down or other event happened, the fonts are rendered correctly.
  I took the screen shot by using delay.

Sorry, I had misunderstood it.

And, the problem like this screenshot is not reproduced now.

This should be fixed through bug 359777: we now use system default fonts unless configured otherwise in prefs.

If the system default fonts are chunky or the web page (or prefs) explicitly selects Times, Helvetica, Courier or other chunky fonts, then chunky fonts it will be.
