The uninstall survey results are showing a lot of users selecting "Some features didn't work" (see http://people.mozilla.com/~schrep/uninstall.png) It would be nice to segment that a little bit so we know where to focus. One hypothesis I've heard a lot has been that people are using this as a bucket for stability issues. Can we add an option for "Stability (crashes, freezes)"?

Also, we need to be sure to that the survey is sending version information with responses before we make *any* changes to the questions. Otherwise, analysing data will become difficult. Perhaps the timestamp will suffice if this is reliably recorded with the submissions.
Entries are indeed recorded with an entry date, so what we're missing is a changelog to log date+change statistics so we can tell when a question change that affects results occurred.

As for the original Fx survey, it hasn't been changed (yet). We don't want to add any changes until there is an audit trail / history component for the reason you mentioned. Will take a look at this.

On a side note, there should probably be a component for the survey. Until then I'm moving this to Update just to get it out of the server-ops queue. Will look into that, too.

Ping... any love on this? I'm very excited to get more data out of this.
I think the best (and fastest) thing to do would be to add a timestamp to the applications_intentions table. This would track when the application (eg. "Mozilla Firefox 1.5") was associated with the intention (eg. "To replace my current web browser").

This would be a pretty quick addition, and would at least provide the minimum functionality we're looking for.
