repro:
1.Open FF and pust on new search dropdown thing [ Bug 335441 ]

result: It opens to the right

2.Close the dropdown and open it again

result: It opens to the left

Mac trunk and 1.8 branch: popup always appears to the right, although it's specified to open to the left.  Linux 1.8 branch: popup always appears to the left.  Windows trunk and branch: popup appears to the left the first time, then to the right thereafter. 

All nightly builds from 2006-05-08.

Switches to always opening the menu on the right, since that's better than inconsistent behavior.  Adds a comment to switch it back to opening on the left when bug 335872 is fixed.
