Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 Firefox/1.5.0.3
Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.5.0.2 (20060308)

I have the Mail & Newsgroups window open. Now I click Write to compose a new message. The Compose windows opens. Now I switch to another program like Firefox with CMD-Tab. I copy something there and switch back to Thunderbird again with CMD-Tab. Now the Compose windows hides behind the Mail & Newsgroups window. I have to use the key command CMD-< to bring the Compose window to front again.

This bug happens not all the time but most of the time. Several Mac users confirmed it. This problem is probably Mac-only? Maybe it's based on the window handling of the Mac operating system?

I'm using Thunderbird 1.5.0.3 on Mac OS X 10.4.6.

This problem can also be reproduced on this nightly build:

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1a3)
Gecko/20060530 Thunderbird/2.0a1 Mnenhy/0.7.4.0 - Build ID: 2006053003

Reproducible: Sometimes

Expected Results:
The Compose window should not move backwards and hide when I go to another program and return.

This is working fine for me with a nightly build on Leopard, are you still seeing this?

I cannot reproduce this in Tb3 b4. The window focus stays correct.
rotis hasn't responded :(
