Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060707 Firefox/2.0b1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1b1) Gecko/20060707 Firefox/2.0b1

When the tab-scrolling area is full, new tabs are created hidden and the only sign that they are created is a 3-pixel arrow turning from grey to black. This is a big error, since the user will not see the new tab.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open several tabs until they fill the full with of the window (8 tabs at 1024x768).
2. Open a link in a new tab.
3. Wait for the new tab to open... forever.

Actual Results:
The new tab is invisible because it has opened hidden outside the visible scrolling area.

Expected Results:
The new scroll area should move to show the newly created tab, and it should show a BIG prominent sign that some old tabs have been hidden of sight.

If the new scrolling-tabs is going to be sold as a major feature, it'd better get heavily tested for usability. This bug is a no-no that could ruin tabbed browsing for a new Firefox user.
