A fair amount of the XForms code should be reuseable with Web Forms 2.0.  I'd like to borrow some of this.

This isn't blocking implementing HTML5 forms so removing dependency.

Also closing as INVALID based on the lack of answer to comment 1 and 2. Feel free to reopen once you know, though it might be worth waiting until there are actual patches...
