I don't crash in recent Firefox 1.5.0.5 or betas of Firefox 2 with Flash 9 on winxp. Amey, what version of Flash do you have installed? You can find out by typing about:plugins in the url bar and then scrolling to find Flash. If you don't have Flash 9, then you can download and install it from http://www.adobe.com/.

this isn't a dupe of bug 200511. amey is using a flash version newer than the one that contained that fix.

Amey

What version firefox and flash are you running? http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ displays it.

WFM
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2
Shockwave Flash 9.0 r45 (but newer is available)
Version: unspecified → 1.5.0.x Branch
No response from reporter, so closing WFM per comment 10.

Serge, how do you see this bug is related to FF 1.5? No test was done with FF 1, plus there is no indication this is even a FF bug, which by probably makes this not version specific.

Wayne, see the build identifier of the download in comment 0.
thanks yes, saw that before. "related" was a poor choice of words. I meant in the causative sense, i.e. is v1.5 a necessary condition for the crash?
No one else reported a crash with a higher version of Firefox. So as I know from other bugs setting the version to 1.5 is ok. Anyway it could be definitely a dupe but let's stop at this point.
