In https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326251#c9 Boris wrote this should be its own bug. I failed to find one on point, so here it is. Attachments there that are applicable here:

In forms.css the 13px height and width of the checkbox and radio buttons need a relative size instead, and whatever makes the markers needs to be at least as big as IE, Konq & Opera make them. At 1024x768x96DPI, using the 12pt default (16px), input[type="checkbox"] and input[type="radio"] at 13px come out about the same apparent size as a capital letter. At 2048x1536x144DPI with a 12pt default (24px), the same physical font size on any given display size as 1024x768x96, the boxes and circles are considerably smaller than a capital letter, even smaller than lower case, and the markers border on invisible, much smaller than other browsers. And, they are very hard to target with an arthritic mouse hand.

Fixing this well might make bug 232322 moot, so setting to block it.

I think this bug is not an issue any more.
Check boxes and radio buttons in web forms appear fine.
Please see the screenshots of the difference between Firefox and Chrome.
