User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 I started up mozilla, it said it had installed an update and all bookmarks/settings were gone. It did not ask me if i wanted to update it. Passwords remained intact in password manager. You wrecked my day, a lot of usefull bookmarks were deleted because of your programming negligence. And now i dont have any bookmarks!!!!!! I'm going back to IE alteast i have my "favorites" there Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. just run a old version of mozilla and let it "install" without asking you.. 2. **** happens 3.

The settings for the updater can be found at Tools > Options > Advanced > Update Set it to "Ask me what I want to do" if you want more control over updates. There are two steps to recover from the settings problems. First http://kb.mozillazine.org/Toolbar_customizations_reset_on_startup If your bookmarks are not back then try the information at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 319196 ***
