Firefox has dozens of tabs open. Each tab is on the same page.
The page uses a HTTP refresh one second after it loads.
The page contains a little text and a single fuzzed, randomly scrambled, gif or jpg image.

I am doing this to test another product and get some interop/stress testing with firefox.

After an few hours, I get an access violation here:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch one copy of Firefox 2 Beta 2(I have tried a previously release version too)
2. Open 20-40 tabs
3. Point each tab to a page that refreshes every second with a new fuzzed, randomly scrambled, image.
4. Wait 1-3 hours.

If I could get my hands on symbols for this build without building it myself, I would be happy to dig into it more and try to give more detailed debugging information. With the level of stress that I am running at, I would not be surprised if I hit more problems in the future.

I can also provide the perl cgi scripts that I am using for stress, but my image set that I am fuzzing is 130+ meg and 4000+ files and I run for about 20000 cgi page hits before firefox crashes.
reporter: you didn't build with symbols, you didn't use a build with symbols, and you reported this bug without us having anything remotely useful.

please either use a talkback build, build with symbols/debug, or if you like windbg and don't want to build your own follow http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/index.php?title=How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg
Summary: Access violation in firefox!nsPrintSettings::GetHowToEnableFrameUI → useless crash report
I didn't build firefox. I downloaded the beta.

I wasn't even explicitly trying to test firefox, it just blew up on me when I was testing another product.

This is the first time I have tried to submit a crash report and I was hoping that I could help out without setting up an entire build environment and building it myself.

It is enough work to get symbols that it will be a few weeks before I can get there. Is there anything I can give to help with this in the meantime, or am I out of luck until I figure out how to compile it myself so I can get symbols?
follow the link i included? it includes a link to a build for which you can get symbols and instructions for configuring windbg to retrieve them.
