when download starts, the manager says speed: 3.0kb/s then 10 min later it says
speed: 1.0kb/s and eventually stops downloading

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.start download, check progress every 10 min
2.when manager reaches 0kb/s speed cancel & restart download
3. wait for bug to happen again

Actual Results:  
download slowed down and stopped, then firefox crashed

Expected Results:  
kept same download speed and not crashed

bug occurs with all themes ive ever got. the bug also makes DownThemAll stop working after a few months and i cant use it to speed up downloads

This happens with all downloads? Did you try if this also happens in Safe Mode (see Firefox folder in the Start menu) or with a new profile (start Firefox with firefox.exe -profileManager and create a second test profile there)?
