360023 - new version fails to open

Build Identifier: ver 2.0

Download goes ok. INstall ok, until it asks if I want to startup on closing . Then I get a message that Firefox has encountered a problem that requires that it close. I have deleted the history file; uninstalled it completely several times. Even removed the files with regedit, and then reinstalled. Same thing every time.  Last version was running fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.download
2. say yes to question, want to start firefox on closing?
3.




Bottom line, can't use Firefox anymore.  IE works, Opera works fine.

Tried to find installer for previous version which worked.  Can;t find it.

HELP!

Have you tried:

- Firefox's safe-mode to exclude extension problems
- a new profile
- a reinstall in a new empty directory ?

Reporter, if you still see this problem with Firefox 2 please reopen this bug. Thanks!
