User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-GB; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-GB; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 I have multiple IMAP acounts set-up not all of which I log into all of the time. I changed the default account but whenever I start Thunderbird it asks for the password of the old default account. No matter how many times I change the default it always asks for the original default. I can cancel this and click on the inbox of the new default (which is highlighted and at the top of the list) and then it asks for that password. More of an annoyance than a serious problem but it's been around for a while. Still present in 1.5.0.8. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Have a default account configured (Don't know if IMAP makes a difference) 2.Add a new account 3.Change the new account to default 4.Close Thunderbird and restart Actual Results: 5.Thunderbird will prompt for old default password Expected Results: Thunderbird to prompt for password of new default

And you have unchecked the "Check for new messages at startup" for the old default account?

Yeah, this sounds like user error. "Default account" doesn't have anything to do with whether it checks on startup. Check on startup is controlled in the server settings for each account. If that resolves your problem, please mark this bug: Resolved|Invalid Otherwise, explain in more detail what the problem is.
