User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0

When i turn on the computer and open Firefox 2.0 the install icon and window comes up on the desktop. I close the install window but the install icon remains on the desktop while Firefox is running. Also, If Thunderbird is opened before Firefox and a web link is activated a seperate Firefox (from the copy I have put in the dock) is opened on the dock. Firefox appears to run great otherwise.

Reproducible: Always

How did you install Firefox? Note that you're supposed to drag the icon (the application) from the install window to your Applications folder. If you want Firefox in the Dock, just drag the icon *from the Applications folder to the Dock*.
Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
