Further testing has found a conflict with Kaspersky AV latest beta installed.
6.0.2.546 build.

Strange part is yesterday's build is OK with the above AV, but not todays.

Do we close this bug or leave it for further testing to resolve the conflict?

Thanks

Just try the builds at http://hourly-archive.localgho.st/ Jim to find out what checkin triggered this.
OK the 2006122217 build is the first build that the vids on CNN crash.

This is the build where the Cairo update was added, along with an OSX fix for same, but that's not going to affect Windows.

Using WinXP Pro SP2 fully updated
WMP 10
Kaspersky 6.0.2.546 Beta fully updated.
Using the latest NOD32 AV, I have no problems.

Currently back on 122304 build, and the crash is still there after a complete remove/clean install of KAV AV.

No crash here with KAV 6.0.2.546 and WMP 10 (although the video didn't start playing, which is an unrelated oddness).

Stack seems to confirm kav as the suspect - prloader.dll is part of kapersky.

May want to file a bug report with them.
reporter "It was fixed by KAV in a later beta release."

so bug is -> INVALID
