Email links don't work. I use yahoo email and when I click a link on a website, it gives me an error rather than opening a yahoo email window. I tried searching and tried what was suggested in the forums, nothing has worked.

Also certain videos give me a windows media plugin error. Does not occur when I use IE. WMP is up to date. All plugins up to date.

Both work with IE but not with Mozilla on 3 different computers I have tried it on (at different addresses and ISP's).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click any HTML email link
2. Try to view any CNN.com video.
3.
Actual Results:  
1) Error message saying "Error loading C:\PROGRA~1`\Yahoo!\Common\YMMAPI~1.DLL. The specific module could not be found."

2) Error message : "Plugin Warning. The CNN.com video experience is optimized for Windows Media Player 9 and above. No Windows Media PLayer detected."

Expected Results:  
1) New HTML window should open with my Yahoo email login. Does work with IE.

2) Video should load and run. Works with IE. Video error also occurs on MTV.com, as well as other sites where WMP needs to launch.

Bug occurs with all themes including default theme. I only have Mozilla Firefox installed.

I am experiencing, I believe the same problem. But only since installing the Firefox update 3.5.5. I use Thunderbird as my email client. The level is version 2.0.0.23 (20090812).

Clicking a link in an email, with Firefox chosen to be the default browser, does not cause a new tab to open and load the desired web site. Those same links do work when IE is set to the default browser.

In my mind this is a regression and should be assigned the highest priority just below security issues.

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
