When a page utilises a META Refresh, we could automatically prefetch the target page to speed up the loading of the redirect.

This could probably be disabled for small values of refresh delay, for example a META Refresh with a delay of less than five/ten seconds will not be automatically prefetched.

Severity: normal → S3

I implemented this feature as an extension. It possibly helps you to imagine the behavior of future Firefox including a fix of this bug.
