Attached file Italian (it) messages.po (obsolete) —
Italian messages.po for addons.mozilla.org

Obviously we need to test this localization before going public
Assignee: nobody → clouserw
Hi Francesco,

I've put your .po file in SVN, but our staging server isn't available right now. We've added quite a few new strings to the .po since you translated it (the developer control panel has been added). I merged in all the latest strings from en-US and marked them as fuzzy (as has been discussed on the amo-l10n list recently).

The file I updated is available here:
http://svn.mozilla.org/addons/trunk/site/app/locale/it/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po

In addition to continuing translation of the .po, there are some other pages we'll need to translate before we can push the IT locale. I'm developing a list, and I'll post back here when it's finished.

Thanks for your hard work. :)

Francesco: In your .po file there are tons and tons of "fuzzy" marked strings. Is that intentional? Please note that the "fuzzy" mark keeps translated strings from showing up on the page altogether:
http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/gettext_46.html

"Fuzzy" means "needs revision", so once you as the translator are okay with how something is translated, you should remove the "fuzzy" tag off that entry.

You can let me know if all of the fuzzy tags should be removed in the most recent file (comment #2), then I can run a script so you don't have to do it by hand.
Strings have been marked as fuzzy by Will (see comment #1), I didn't know I had to remove the "fuzzy" marker from my localization (I'm totally new to gettext) :-(

All strings have been localized and checked by a second person, so if you can remove the fuzzy marker with a script it's ok.

Thanks ;-)

Yeah, that's fine. I have removed the "fuzziness" from the file. We just mark new strings fuzzy so localizers can easily see what has changed. If you use a special .po file editor, it even removes these flags for you. If you do it by hand (just like I do, usually) you have to remove the fuzzy flag by hand as well when you're done.

By the way: There were a few "control sequence" errors in your .po file, because you escaped single quotes (\'). You don't need to put a backslash in front of single quotes. You only need it for double quotes inside text blocks (so the compiler doesn't think the text is over yet).

Yup. It's in the trunk now, SVN r3145. You find the newest file at http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/addons/trunk/site/app/locale/it/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po?view=markup .

Ok: I manage all by hand, using TextMate on Os X, so it's not a big problem.

Ooops, my fault: I forgot to remove them after some tests with PoEdit on Windows :-(

Thanks :D
Updated italian messages.po, based on SVN r3222
Attachment #260472 - Attachment is obsolete: true
Thanks, update is in svn, r3228.
Now I'm working on the static pages (I took the 7 pages from en_US/pages/ on svn).
As suggested in http://wiki.mozilla.org/Update:Remora_Sandbox_Flowchart, I attach the strings for the png image

* Add-on submitted -> Proposta componente aggiuntivo
* New Add-on? -> Nuovo?
* SANDBOX -> Sandbox
* PUBLIC -> Pubblico
* Update to Public Add-on -> Rendi pubblico il componente aggiuntivo
* Trusted Add-on? -> Componente aggiuntivo affidabile?
* Author nominates non-public add-on -> L'autore segnala un componente aggiuntivo non pubblico
* Editor Review -> Controllo di un revisore
* yes -> sì
* no -> no
* pass -> passato
* fail -> fallito

I hope that these strings are not too long
Thanks for the strings. Please note that we can't accept translations of "privacy.thtml" right now (for legal reasons). All the rest are good.

I'm adding fligtar to the CC for the sandbox image.

Got it, it's updated.
Hi,

This is just a friendly reminder that I'm sending to all the AMO L10n bugs:

The 3.2 redesign is going live in just over a week and a half. If you can't make the schedule or you have any questions please let me know. If you've already updated your locales, thanks so much - they're looking great. :)
Gettext localization is updated, categories on public area are updated, added two missing static pages (policy and submission_help).
Mass-close of L10n bugs. We're using the newsgroups to notify localizers about updates so there isn't much of a reason to leave these open. If you have a specific case, feel free to reopen.

Thanks for all your help! :)
